Smiles From Heaven

Smiles From Heaven is a US based registered nonprofit organization officially established in 2017 by our founder Gema Lopez. Smiles From Heaven offers support to communities in developing parts of the world with vital and daily resources such as food, educational materials and coverage for medical expenses. Our mission is to ensure these communities are given the opportunity to have a better quality of life. Our purpose is to lend a helping hand to the people of these communities to show the world that everyone can contribute, nothing is ever too little. This help can impact families that can change their course of life. With your help we can make the difference in the lives of so many families.

This beautiful story of giving back began in 2015 when our founder heard the story of a newborn baby whom had been abandoned by her mother in a hospital in Nicaragua due to her grave medical condition. Gema would’ve never imagined that by simply donating some clothes and funding for her medical expenses that it would make such a longstanding emotional impact. Months later, when Gema receives insight on a lady with a lung condition that required her to be placed on oxygen concentrator permanently and she had no financial possibilities to get one and Gema was able to provide it for her. In that moment, Gema learned the woman carried her late mothers name, Thelma, whom she lost as a child and was her world. It was then that Gema took this as a sign from above that her mother is smiling at her. 

 Smiles From Heaven was founded with the objective to pour love into the most needed communities and showing the world that we can all help our neighbors thrive.
